Aloha! Greetings from Hawaii, currently out of office.

Check out my instagram account > Click here < where I am showing you some photos of an intervention I did for the opening of the new Marketing Schmarketing office in Haarlem. In the hallway of their new office lays an old vault. It reminded me of secure places, a hiding spot and this thing we all long for: holiday. A place where we can let go of everything. Can we though?

Studio complex Maakhaven is here to stay! We celebrated with a party including OPEN STUDIOS and it was a blast to show off the hard work we put in building the studios ourselves.

This past week has been incredibly interesting, inspiring and useful for my artistic practice. Thanks to the Pro Invest grant I got last year, me and twelve other The Hague based artists got to join a program together with curators, art critics and artists from around the globe. The program consisted of a series of studio visits, a city tour to show our visitors around, pre-openings, a public debate, drinks, more talks and a nice lunch at the beach to finish it of. I had some great talks during the studio visits with Geir Heradseth, Edward Gillman, Carol Yinghua Lu, Maarten Spruyt, Lennard Dost and Azar Mahmoudian. We will meet again!
